Where to Stay

Greenwood has a small but distinctive collection of places to stay. Book early — the best rooms go fast on event weekends. Here are three we recommend.

The Alluvian Hotel

318 Howard Street · Greenwood, MS 38930
thealluvian.com

A 45-room boutique hotel in the heart of downtown, designed with the colors and textures of the Delta. Complimentary Southern breakfast, a spa, and walking distance to shops and restaurants. Best for: a polished, walkable downtown weekend.

Tallahatchie Flats

Just north of Greenwood, on the Tallahatchie River
tallahatchieflats.com

Restored 1940s Delta farm shacks on a former cotton plantation — each with a full kitchen, WiFi, and a porch over the river. Pet-friendly. Best for: blues pilgrims and anyone who wants the real Delta, not a hotel room.

Hampton Inn Greenwood

1815 Highway 82 W · Greenwood, MS 38930

The newest hotel in town, with 74 rooms and refrigerators in every room. Eleven-minute walk to the Museum of the Mississippi Delta. Best for: a reliable, familiar stay at a reasonable rate.

Where to Eat

Giardina's Restaurant

314 Howard Street

A Greenwood institution since 1936, connected to the Alluvian lobby by its bar. White-linen service, curtained private booths, and world-class steaks and seafood. Start with the onion rings. Best for: a special-occasion dinner before the show.

Fan & Johnny's

Downtown Greenwood

Modern Southern dining led by James Beard Award nominee Chef Taylor Ricketts. Creative presentation and a menu that changes with what's good. Best for: a chef-driven dinner that feels current without leaving Greenwood.

San Miguel Arcangel Tienda y Taqueria

615 W. Park Ave

Authentic Mexican cuisine and a genuine cultural hub — the kind of place where everybody in town eats. Open six days a week. Best for: lunch, and dinner on Fridays. (Note: this is also one of our venues.)

Also worth knowing: Zoe Coffee (319 Howard St.) for coffee and snacks, Turnrow Books Cafe (304 Howard St.) for lunch and espresso, and Jeems Diner for burgers.
