Remi Goode + Abels & Mosley

  • Zoe Coffee Co. 319 Howard Street Greenwood, Mississippi, 38930 United States (map)

Coffee shop folk comes to Greenwood!

Join us for an intimate evening at Zoe Coffee featuring an incredible "duo of duos." We’re welcoming the brilliant indie-folk songwriter Remi Goode (pronounced "RAY-mee") and her partner Gabe Lehrer, alongside the highly anticipated local homecoming of Abels & Mosley.

About Remi Goode

Remi Goode is a trained classical guitarist and choral singer turned alternative folk songwriter. Performing as a duo with Gabe Lehrer, their two instruments interlock and entwine into unique shapes that are at times airily buoyant and always beautiful to witness.

Goode creates her own version of modern-day American roots music: one that's intimate one minute and cinematic the next. If you’re a fan of Katy Kirby, Sara Bareilles, Suzanne Vega, or Kathleen Edwards, you’ll find a new favorite here. The team at NPR's Tiny Desk Contest called her refrain in "Return to Sender" so catchy they "can’t stop humming it around the office."

About Abels & Mosley

The night opens with a true musical homecoming. Carrollton native and New England bluegrass veteran Cecil Abels (aka "Mr. Sippy") reunites with celebrated Delta singer-songwriter Alanna Mosley (winner of the 2016 Jimmie Rodgers Songwriting Competition). Together, they bring their shared roots and pure love of entertaining to the Hush Puppy stage for a set of old favorites and new songs.
