Announcing Our Spring 2026 Concert Series

Winter's chill is finally beginning to loosen its grip, and here at Hush Puppy Music Coop, our thoughts have turned firmly to sunshine, warmer nights, and the shared joy of live music. We are absolutely thrilled to pull back the curtain and announce our full Spring 2026 Concert Series!

This season represents the second half of our Season 4 Membership, and we’re proud to offer our community eight incredible concerts. From Grammy-winning historians to "mom-pop" innovators and a celebratory community fiesta, this lineup is a testament to the vibrant, diverse tapestry of roots music we love to champion.

A huge thank you to the Mississippi Arts Commission, the Mississippi Blues Foundation, and all of our dedicated local sponsors. Your support makes this journey possible and allows us to bring such extraordinary artists to Greenwood.

Now, let’s meet the artists who will be lighting up our stages this spring:

SHOW #5: Paul Burch + Fats Kaplin

Tuesday, February 24 | Old City Hall

Get ready for a night of singular songcraft. Paul Burch’s music, hailed by the likes of Steve Earle and Peter Guralnick, is a unique blend of indie spirit and deep-rooted tradition. He’ll be joined by the multi-talented illusionist and musician Fats Kaplin (a collaborator with John Prine and Jack White) and special guest Kristi Rose for what promises to be a wonderfully unpredictable evening.

SHOW #6: Dom Flemons, "The American Songster"

Thursday, March 19 | Museum of the Mississippi Delta

This is a landmark event for Hush Puppy. With generous support from the Mississippi Blues Foundation, we welcome Grammy award-winning musician and historian Dom Flemons. A founding member of the Carolina Chocolate Drops, Dom is a master of the banjo, guitar, harmonica, jug, fife, and bones. He brings over a century of American songcraft to life. Don’t miss this very special performance alongside Bill Steber’s blues exhibition.

SHOW #7: CALL ME SPINSTER + Alva Leigh

Tuesday, April 14 | Old City Hall

Prepare for a dynamic double-feature from Chattanooga! Alva Leigh returns to the South with her “mom-pop” album Wilderness, offering dreamy, cathartic songs about motherhood and identity. She shares the stage with CALL ME SPINSTER, a trio of sisters who brilliantly smash old-timey traditions into modern pop fun with pristine harmonies and unorthodox instruments.

SHOW #8: Los Preeminentes – A Cinco de Mayo Celebration!

Tuesday, May 5 | San Miguel Arcangel Restaurant

We’re wrapping up Season 4 with a party! The stars have aligned: it’s Cinco de Mayo, it’s Taco Tuesday, and we’re hosting Leflore County’s own Los Preeminentes for an evening of vibrant norteña music. Thanks to our friends at San Miguel Arcangel, this free community finale is the perfect chance to gather for great food, music, and dancing. Come for dinner, stay for the fiesta!

Stay tuned to our website and social media for deeper dives into each artist! We can’t wait to gather with you all, our beloved community, to share in the magic of these performances. Here’s to a spring filled with incredible music and connection.

See you at the shows,
